Steven Schnur, M.D.
, one of the founders of
South Florida Cardiology Associates
, obtained his fellowship in cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Schnur is a medical school graduate from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He graduated with honors and was selected as a memeber of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical school honor society. His undergraduate work was at the state University of New York at Stony Brook, where he majored in biochemistry and was selected Phi Beta Kappa. During his cardiology fellowship he worked at South Miami Hospital, and Miami VA Hospital holding positions as emergency room physician, critical care physician and instructor in advanced cardiac life support.
Dr. Schnur founded South Florida Cardiology Associates in 1991. Over the last decade the group has grown to over fifteen physicians, seven offices spanning Dade and Broward county, and over one hundred thousand patients. He is currently the president of South Florida Cardiology Associates as well as the managing partner. The group has now become one of the largest in South Florida and is known for cardiac prevention. He is an advisor to many of the existing practices in South Florida and nationally.
Dr. Schnur is board certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Cardiology. His field of expertise is in the field of cardiac prevention. He is a speaker of numerous phamaceutical companies and has made presentations at scientific meetings on cardiac arrhythmias, pacemaker electrocardiography. His work been published in the American Heart Journal.
